The FAA officials who refuse to require minimum seat sizes and pitch should have to fly economy coach every day for a month to get to and from their offices. I can guarantee that this would motivate them to regulate seat sizes and seat pitch within the first week.
I’m also half surprised that a TV lawyers hasn’t started filing class actions suits against the airlines for health conditions (such as deep vein thrombosis) that are alleged be be triggered by or made worse by the forced inactivity and air pressure changes from flying.
Small seats may not be a PHYSICAL hazard but it sure can create a MORALE hazard.
