There are so many comments that could be made re: this article but anyway; I actually don’t mind a mean or rude boss, if, they know what they are talking about, and they will admit when they made a mistake and they manage by effectiveness and not by perception.
The ego seems to instill an infallibility complex in a lot of bosses.
Always been nice to my employees. Reward them for good work with raises and flex hours. Never a problem, but I still have another partner in the room if we have to make an employment decision on an underperforming female employee.
