How Cell Phone Use While Driving Is Changing

    Cell addicts are in denial that they are distracted while driving. Even if they have hands free, they are still distracted and are not paying close attention to the road.

      It’s not that they’re in denial, they just incorrectly think they can handle the distraction while driving. Same reason people still drink and drive, drive recklessly, and take other risks. They don’t think it will happen to them.

      Aren’t listening to music/talk on the radio, conversing with passengers, hearing kids screaming in the back seat, etc all distractions? Maybe if we eliminated the need for people to pay attention while in a car we could significantly reduce accidents caused by distracted driving. I wonder how we could do that.

    Cancel their Policy if caught using a cellphone. Take away their cell phone if caught using a cell phone. Take away their vehicle if caught using a cell phone. Treat it as a major violation if caught using a cell phone. There are many solutions, but society lacks the guts to use ’em.
