If nearly ALL automakers are installing the devices voluntarily, WTF is Center for Auto Safety’s problem? IMO, voluntary installation of the devices is preferable as it won’t allow the federal govt to mandate monitoring that might interfere with personal liberties and privacy. I trust car makers to ‘calibrate’ their monitoring devices to avoid spying on drivers. I do NOT trust the government to avoid spying on us.
Hey, Bill Gates will put all the info in the Cloud for drivers and monitor whether the driver was puffing weed when he ran over someone or texted while driving.
