This story is another example of why Big Govt isn’t needed. FEMA is an agency that could fit well under DHHS or another related federal agency.

The key (pardon the subtle pun) problem in this case is the lack of accountability of Federal and State workers, including teachers and professors, for their mistakes, whether significant or minor. In the private sector, the person(s) responsible for the loss of the confidential data would be terminated immediately. In the public sector, they’d be scolded and maybe transferred to an equal or higher paying job in the government.

Poueller, not sure which government entity is more useless, FEMA or OSHA. They both should be eliminated.
