“The Environmental Protection Agency cited the order when rescinding portions of the 2017 Accidental Release Prevention Requirements, including rules intended to prevent chemical accidents like an April 2013 explosion at West Fertilizer Co. in Texas that killed 15 people.”

Exactly why this is such a moronic executive order. No need to have this regulation in place but hey, noise from wind farms causes cancer. What an idiot!

1200 pages of tax code is also acceptable to people who like regulations infinitum.

How many US CITIZENS were killed or harmed by Illegal Immigrants entering the US in violation of Federal Immigration Laws that Obama’s Administration ignored…. and in fact ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED to violate?

Answer: thousands more than any regulations rolled back by Trump’s Administration.

If the only harmful thing about the regulatory rolls backs over 2017-2019 are those deaths, which may have occurred despite the rollbacks, then Trump has done a much better job of protecting US citizens than many prior POTUSes. Further, you completely ignored the economic benefits to businesses and the jobs they can create when not burdened by compliance costs and operational hinderance due to unnecessary regulations.

Why not prove that the regulatory rollback actually CAUSED those deaths, rather than state it as fact? Answer: you can’t.

The positive developments of regulation roll back has been evident in the past 2+ years. I really like the rule that for every new regulation implemented, they have to roll back two.

        3 states sue and 47 don’t. In Obama’s case, it might be 54 didn’t.

Don’t you just love the scaredy cats like Captain Kangaroo who think the sky will fall if Mommy Government doesn’t tuck us in every night. Think for a second, as hard as that might be for a Lefty: Trump didn’t tell the regulators which regulations to cut. He left that up to all those government “experts” working in the different departments, the bureaucrats you love so much.

We are trying to clean up the forum and would welcome your cooperation along with that of all other regular posters. Please help us by setting an example.

First, please stay on topic. If someone else strays from the topic of an article, there is no need for you to follow that person down that path. Off-topic comments will be deleted. We may miss some but that is no excuse to post another.

Not every article, news item or argument is political. This comment section is not a place for you to repeatedly flex your partisan political muscles or engage in tit-for-tat exchanges with a handful of others.

We seek commentary from an insurance perspective from insurance professionals wanting to educate, clarify, contextualize or counter a story or other opinion.

We respectfully request that all commenters refrain from insults towards one another, avoid profanities and show respect for others at all times. If you or anyone else can’t make your point without insulting another person’s intelligence, morals, ethnicity, character or other trait, then please don’t post it. Those who engage in such behaviors ruin the forum experience for the majority who follow the rules of civil discourse. Comments that disrespect others will be deleted.

Since no one from IJ thought Craig’s post violated their TOS, you should refrain from acting in their place.

In the OP, CP is off-topic ranting, based on the quoted paragraph – which cannot be used to PROVE the 2013 accident will REPEAT as a DIRECT RESULT of the 2017 – onward redundant or unneeded regulation rollback push. In fact, the regulatory rollbacks require that regs rolled back first be reviewed for their potential impacts.

CP misused the article to advance an agenda.

Seriously. I don’t see you posting this each time Planet puts on the same page 4-5 past posts from agents here trying to solely go after their character and call them hypocrites.

I don’t see you ever post this unless it’s a conservative, and that’s why I warn people all the time: When you create speech rules, people will always use it for their side.

The left more than the right on that though.

Stop posting that like a militant NPC.

“I will continue to ignore Andrew’s request not to insult people who post here and don’t understand that because Trump does not post on this site he can ‘safely’ be called an idiot. And the more that I think about it, Trump honestly believed that noise from wind turbines cause cancer, so maybe he is an idiot after all. Anyway, it’s been two sentences and I haven’t insulted anyone yet, so clearly this isn’t a verbatim quote of something I actually said even though I put it in quotation marks” -Craig

Stop it, Rosenblatt. Your comedy writer is killing me again. Just awesome how you never complain about liberal nastiness and then your comedy writer only writes “civility” screeds after conservative comments.

Just awesome! Laughing my butt off! (Oops, is “butt” offensive to you? Sorry.)
