Cosby has a point. Look what he did for Jello.

Cosby should simply shut up, do his time and if he outlives his jail time, he won’t have to worry about these lawsuits. If he were innocent he would be biding his time somewhere else.

“Mr. Cosby vehemently denies the allegations brought against him in these defamation suits and he maintains his innocence.”

And all of the plaintiffs agreed to be drugged, so everything beyond that point was consensual. Now the defendant in the big house is being con-sensual.

I am a little confused. Does AIG need concrete, substantial evidence proving Cosby drugged and assaulted these women in order to opt out of defending him/paying the lawsuits?

AIG made it clear they do not want to defend Cosby, how are these assaults the insurance company’s problem? At what point will an insurance company not have to pay?

Someone knowledgeable about the language in Cosby’s policy needs to answer your question. Otherwise, we’d just be guessing.

According to the article, the plaintiffs did not sue for damages arising from assaults. They sued for defamation. Many homeowner policies provide coverage for personal injury, which is defined to include libel and slander (defamation).

But it’s not defamation if true. I think that’s what AIG is hanging it’s hat on.

Who pays when there are no deep pockets? Not excusing him at all.

How does society prevent the individual from doing this behavior in the future?

    Trust no human being?

Trust should be earned, and celebrity status should not be such currency. Anyway, there is no foolproof prevention, only the deterrence of a possible prison sentence that will never go away because there is no statute of limitations for Crosby’s crimes.

Cosby can claim whatever he wants from his prison cell (where he belongs) but AIG is actually doing him a favor by settling these lawsuits.

If Bill is so innocent, he should tell AIG that he is demanding to contest these claims in court and is willing to USE HIS OWN MONEY to fund the defense and satisfy any judgments. Of course, we know that will never happen. Instead, Bill is content to issue meaningless press releases through his army of attorneys. There is not an ounce of contrition in this old pervert…
