aren’t you the one who used to rant about censorship by BOTs and people changing their IP addresses to downvote you because “your IT guy” told you that was the case?
Oh, Ralph…you’re my hero! This is EXACTLY what he did!

VPNs are an easy way to do the same thing; a BOT can be created to redirect the VPN software to link to another location. What is YOUR IT certification level?

Very good, Yogi…pretty much any kid who has taken a computer class can tell you what a VPN is nowadays.
so you literally think someone (allegedly and according to you,, who was funded by George Soros) was taking the time to log on to a VPN, change their IP address multiple times to just downvote conservative opinions on an INSURANCE NEWS SITE, and then repeat ad nauseam? Wouldn’t a more logical explanation be that someone was just hitting the downvote button multiple times to get a rise out of you? There used to be a flaw in the logic which allowed multiple downvotes and upvotes, and if you noticed, once this logic was corrected your “Soros-funded BOTs” ceased.

WRONG. it worked but you had to hit your mouse button rapidly and repeatedly, according to someone who did it for both UP and DOWN votes. They have since fixed it, and I believe Andrew said as much at one point.
Now–Would you care to admit you were wrong about the BOTs funded by Soros or would you please show your actual evidence and prove it? Let’s see what a true man of honor and integrity you are. I’ll be storming area 51 while I await your response.

Lots of bad actors in the Tech business. Facebook and Google seem to be the worst. Fine them, prosecute the bad actors and put them in jail. Outright Treason.
1) They did fine them – that’s what this article is about
2) Prosecute them for breaking which law(s) exactly? Be specific. You can’t just prosecute someone if they didn’t break any laws or if they settled out of court before trial.
This would never have become an issue if the Cambridge Analytica data breach was used against Trump.
‘Bad actors’ should be fined for breach of implied contract when you register with their service. Their disclaimers hold no legal merit when the party in control acts as a judge in the dispute, and as an antagonist against those with whom they disagree, politically, philosophically, or otherwise.
I completely agree ‘bad actors’ should be fined for breach of implied contract (even though it wouldn’t hold up in court due to it only being an “implied” agreement), but your post does not touch upon my point:
How EXACTLY could the ‘bad actors’ be prosecuted and jailed as Agent demanded in these types of situations if they didn’t break any laws or if they settled out of court or via arbitration?

The term ‘bad actors’ refer to those who broke laws/ violated regulations. There is NO reason to jail/ prosecute law-abiding, regulation-compliant persons.

They need fine them $50 Billion, so they actually feel some pain. I also wonder how much FB will actually be out of pocket and how much Insurance is paying.
Anyone still using FB should blame themselves. We’ve known for how many years the company was selling personal information to various places? Now people are going to trust them with their money (Libra)?? Insanity. I deleted FB back in 2014. In 2015, I decided to give it another shot. Odd that I deleted my account completely, yet FB still had all my old photos and messages stored. About 6 months into the second go-round, my photos simply appeared on my page and my “private” messages were restored. It has been 4 years since I have been on that site and have tried to warn anyone who would listen it is NOT a safe place to be. Your ‘Likes’ are stored and analyzed. Your messages are read (ask the millions who have had messages disappear, show as ‘read’ when they weren’t or had messages sent from their page they didn’t send) and every little game or quiz you play on that site comes with some advertising tied in. If you have not taken a psychiatry test, these seemingly innocent quizzes, tests and games are used to categorize you. This isn’t tin foil hat material, simply the truth. You want to hit FB where it hurts? Stop using the site. Delete your profile (it won’t truly be deleted, but whatever) and avoid IG as well. Not a single thing you post online should ever be thought of as being “private” or “yours”. It isn’t. $5 Billion to FB is a drop in the bucket. It isn’t meaningful and isn’t intended to be. If you think FB, or any of the other Social Media sites isn’t giving your information to the government, or selling it to anyone who will pay enough, you aren’t living in the real world. Just my .02, but if you use the site, don’t complain about having your information sold. We’ve known for 6 years now that it’s common practice.
I never signed up for Fraudbook, and am truly sorry some of my friends did and are now impacted adversely for their opinions, as well as attempts by criminals (yes, it’s a crime, punishable by specific or general laws on online or real world harassment) to doxx them.

I’ll take “Tinfoil Hat Conspiracy Theories” for $200, Alex…
Instead of sniping by making a lame claim of paranoia, why don’t you gather enough courage to actually refute the points made by Bill Price?
