This is an example of abuse of the mutual structure. Policyholders supposedly own the asssets of teh company not management and that includes any hypothecation of said assets.

I would agree with Charles Ford. And to me one of the problem with the mutual structure is management and the directors try to maintain as much control as possible for as long as possible and sometimes forget about the account holders. I have been a policyholder with motorist for many years and I don’t recall getting any information about this partnership previously. This just seems to me like they are trying to put these companies together without policyholder approval. But I have to admit I more familiar with how credit unions and S & L’s work than insurance companies.

Sorry but what’s with all these invented names? Encova? Truist? I sort of understand changing names, and if the invented name is a combination of the prior names, yeah I understand that too, but with some of these names it sounds like they’re pulling letters out at random and arranging them.

Names that sound like pharmaceutical drugs might not be a good idea right now.

Side-effects may include: Increased premiums, delayed claims, and long on-hold times when contacting customer service. Ask your doctor if Encova is right for you.

Part of our industry’s problem is that it is resistant to change. I like the new name. The new brand and name are modern and clean. It will help keep them relevant.

In five months we have gone from IMARC to Motorist and Brick Street , now we are Encova. My head is spinning and prices have gone up. It may be time to look around for insurance.
