I agree, no one should be driving impaired by anything, including not regulating their diabetes. And excessive speeding isn’t necessary, either. But, if you read the article, there was some good news in there, showing the stats are improving:
Also agree. Let’s add in “stop tailgating” and “start using blinkers” and “turn off your damn brights when there are other cars on the road” too. Thankfully I haven’t seen many people shaving or putting on makeup anymore (although I did see a Tesla driver reading a book on the highway which was absurd).
Now, if we could just get drivers to stop speeding, stop drinking while driving, stop smoking dope while driving, the stats would be better.

“Alcohol-impaired-driving fatalities declined 3.6 percent;
Speeding-related fatalities declined 5.7 percent; ”
There wasn’t any mention in this article of other intoxicated-impaired fatalities.
