Typical story on the Scary Monster. No perspective or balance.
The global economy is currently about 75 trillion dollars. This story indicates the annual cost to address the Scary Monster – assuming it is true (heh heh) – is $250 billion.
Which would make the annual cost to address the Scare Monster .less than one third or a percent of the global GDP.
WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE! STOP DRIVING AND FLYING AND HEATING YOUR HOMES NOW!
This article is hardly comprehensive, addressing primarily fossil fuel industries and costs to companies for estimated compliance. Agriculture and other major factors are not mentioned, and ‘cost’ is subjective. Not only dollars companies will need to spend but health costs due to disease, increased malnourishment, displacement of communities and countries as sea level rises and extensive other issues will impact the total ‘cost’ as the effects of climate change become even more of a day to day reality. Skepticism in the light of decades of proven science and current measurable economic and health impacts is hardly warranted and only serves the fool.
Being skeptical of “science” that comes from a self-serving culture of climate scientists that operate on dogma and castigate anyone with a difference of opinion is quite worthy.
Earth is over 4 Billion years old. Your decades of science (even assuming it is true) is hardly a valid sample compared to the earth’s age.
When all the solutions seem to be about increasing government control, reducing individual freedoms, and enriching a portion of the population based on their political connections–tell me again, who are the fools?
Count me in too. With so little data to work with some of these “scientists” are desperate to try and prove their point. So much so that they are willing to skew the actual evidence that they do have to make sure it fits their narrative.
Okay, Mr. Proven Science. Riddle me this: why did the IPCC change the way it projects future damage from CO2 in the last report published? And what was the impact of that change?
Now tell me how much is the estimated total global, annual cost to address Climate Change in 75 years if we do nothing?
I won’t wait up. (But I’ll give you a clue: 2% of GDP.) Yawn.
I don’t know where this IJ Democrat got his figures. I have seen other reports that it would be quadruple the cost to lower the temperature 1/10th of a degree. Be careful what you wish for Democrats. All indications are a general cooling trend in climate.
Heading to the links today, Agent. I have a 12:03. Playing Sunday as well…in Des Moines…in December…for yet another year. Hoping to go low, the swing is feeling awfully good!

Eastern Europe, Russia, China and farting sheep in Australia & New Zealand. Attack those who have no environmental controls and not the US who receives what you perceive as bad air and climate change from others. Go ahead and spend trillions and wreck the world’s economy for something that is going to happen anyway. Can’t wait for the announcement that the poles are moving so that we can see another group of nuts who try to stop that.
Go ahead and vote this down. I enjoy making liberals’ heads explode. Makes my day.
Really? You are going to literally “fight the climate”…of the whole earth? The climate that has changed dozens of times before humans were here and will continue to change long after our species is extinguished? You mean that climate? And spend trillions of our policyholders money “fighting”. Dear God, has the entire world gone completely insane?

Pretty pathetic.

Now why would anyone down vote simple facts? Hmmmm.

Here in central wisc, no evidence of global warming. Its cold.
Even colder today…. BRRRR! Cranking up the wood burning fire place.
Even colder today….
I wonder who carriers Mother Natures insurance.
When you’re too stupid to think yelling the sky is falling will not cause falling sky insurance to cost more…you might be a liberal.
