I hear you, Rosenblatt. But this time, his typical plan of “We’ll see what happens” isn’t going to cut it. Specific action is necessary, no generalities about a big, beautiful strategy to contain. And, no throwing kids in cages in order to contain, either.
Laughably Partisan Babble, revealing a non-thinker at work. As usual. “kids in cages”. (Remember when Captain Planet was so upset at Obama for doing that? Me neither.)
hey Craig! You realize your president has put over 5000 kids in cages, right? How many did Obama put in cages again? Yeah that’s what I thought. You right-wing nuts try to brag about the economy while average wages have only risen 2.5% for most americans, meanwhile it’s at what 300% for the top 1%? It’s totally fine for the rich to get richer as long as the poor stay down and brown children are in cages. You right-wing nutjobs truly are the new nazis, defending your hitler until the last. History will remember you just as fondly as 1940s Germany, Craig.
How many kids DID Obama put in cages? For once, show you aren’t just a partisan parrot and answer the question honestly. (And then tell me why no one complained when he did it?)
And actually, wages and net worth for the bottom 20% in America are rising faster than the top 20% now. When was the last time that happened, Mr. History?
Have you ever posted a website that wasn’t biased? Didn’t think so.

It’s old, and uses data from a few months prior to the publishing date. It doesn’t provide CURRENT wage levels due to the full, lagged effects of the Trump 2017 Tax Law reform cuts… i.e. those ‘tax cuts for the rich’.
Workers often receive ANNUAL wage increases in January, or on their anniversary date of employment with their company.
Those recent enough for you? Again, you have no data to back up your arguments. Your statements are false, particularly Craig’s about the lowest 20% gaining faster than the top 20%. That is verifiably FALSE. But neither of you will admit to being wrong, you’re just going to try and argue about the date of the data?
Hey Polar, remember when you lied and said a poll “from january” said 91% of americans were more afraid of terrorism than climate change? And that poll was actually from January 2016, and said no such thing? Sure seems hypocritical of you to now try and make a big deal about an article being two years old, when the data still stands. I even provided more recent data, but you never provided data to back up your statement, or acknowledged that you provided false information. Ready to ghost this article now too just like you ghosted that one when confronted by your own nonsense?

The CDC and DHHS have pre-emptive plans in place in anticipation of influenza and other medical maladies that arise each year. Why would you assume there are only ‘generalities’? Are you so biased and ignorant that you believe Trump controls the specific actions of the CDC (but Obama didn’t)?
We should put California Governor Gavin Newsom in charge. Look at Typhus and plague and other diseases he allows in all the homeless camps in the State. Not to mention San Francisco making public defecation no longer a misdemeanor. That sounds healthy.
Maybe the SF City Council can handle the coronavirus.
Pointless right-wing blaming because you have no actual argument. Your president is a joke, just like you buddy. Keep yelling about San Francisco while the country falls apart though, greatest economy ever, right? Except nobel winning economist Joseph Stiglitz disagrees.

Lying doesn’t work when facts and truths are readily available.
This is true of 95% of the things you post. You like posting hot garbage from conspiracy theory websites as fact, or making bogus claims like 91% of americans are more afraid of terrorism than climate change (LOL did you even really believe that?) after all.
China is beginning to shows signs of system failure (lack of kits to test the disease, no Primary Health care to not overburden hospitals, etc.). There may be nothing worse for an average citizen than Communist bureaucracy.
As someone who’s struggled with germaphobia for years, I’ve thought a lot about this new virus more than I should. Yes, it’s scary on the surface, but think about it for a minute: China has over a billion people, many living in very densely populated areas where viruses can spread quickly. So far, 500 or so people have been infected and 17 or so have died from it. We don’t know if any of those people had compromised immune systems or some other underlying health issue. Realistically, your odds of getting such a virus are minuscule, and honestly there are lots of other terrible viruses out there that you’re more likely to catch. I don’t think it’s anything to fear nearly on the scale that ANY (yes, both left- AND right- leaning) media outlets would have you believe. Keep calm and eat a taco, because tacos make people happy.
Rob have you seen letterkenny? They go on about how people from California are always talking about tacos. But to be fair, tacos are amazing.
Additionally, did no one have the virus that just tore through my office? It’s been over two weeks and I still have the cough. 90% of our agency’s employees were out at one time. A really bad virus without proper treatment can turn into pneumonia pretty quickly, I think any fear of this Chinese virus is a little blown out of proportion right now.
“What we’re going to do is build a wall. And, Jhina will pay for it. We build the wall and the virus can’t get through. A big, beautiful wall, okay? Who’s going to pay for the wall? (pause) That’s right, Jhina.”

I have trust in the President along with the CDC taking appropriate action on this. This is a huge contrast to former President Obama who did nothing about Ebola, as it was a civil right for those with Ebola to come here.
Agency – first of all, these are two VERY different diseases. Ebloa isn’t transmitted through the air, can only be contracted by coming into direct contact with body fluids of someone who is already showing symptoms, and if the person does not have symptoms, they are not contagious. Compare that to the Coronavirus which can be transmitted when someone doesn’t have symptoms and is easily transferable aside from bodily fluids. You can’t compare the response to Ebola w/ this virus because they are significantly different.
As for Obama “who did nothing” …
**Trained health care workers and conducted community outreach
**Worked with international partners to identify travelers who may have Ebola before they leave the region
**Conducted entry screening to detect signs of Ebola or potential exposure among all passengers arriving in the U.S.
**Increased facilities that were officially able to contain and treat Ebola from 3 to 51
**Committed more than $921 million toward fighting Ebola in West Africa and convened a special U.N. Security Council on the epidemic.
**Constructed 15 Ebola treatment units in the region
**Provided more than 400 metric tons of personal protective equipment and other medical and relief supplies
**Operated more than 190 burial teams in the region
**Conducted aggressive contact tracing to identify chains of transmission
Having the Ebola virus even come to our shores would be a mistake, he could have taken greater measures, but didn’t. Anybody could have come here with it and they did, we ended up paying their medical bills and putting our own medical personnel at risk. Obama didn’t care, his allegiance was to foreign interests.
First you said “Obama…did nothing”, but now you’re saying “he could have taken greater measures.” So I guess you agree Obama did NOT do nothing, which was the rebuttal I was arguing.
Also, “Having the Corona virus even come to our shores would be a mistake, he could have taken greater measures, but didn’t. Anybody could have come here with it and they did….” See, it works both ways.
But regardless, I see your goalpoast shifting loud and clear. Get called out for making a false statement? Why admit it when you can just change the argument!
I hope President Trump is right
While I get your sarcasm, that doesn’t change the fact that I sincerely hope he’s right about this.
