By the way, Conservatives did plenty to benefit the USA and allies around the world. Examples: Reagan & Thatcher paved the way for Germany to be freed from Soviet control. Trump helped many people in the Middle East to live in less danger, and Canadian, Mexican, and Chinese workers to benefit from better trade agreements with the USA. The list of similar accomplishments by Conservatives between those events is long.

Younger people have always thought older people were out of touch and older people have always thought younger people had crazy ideas and were disrespectful.

My brother was quite liberal in college but as he got married, had kids to support, got a mortgage, etc he became more conservative. We’re in our mid-50s now. It will be interesting to see how our views change in the next 10 years. I hope I can remember what I was like in my 20s and 30s.
