Verisk Expands Insurtech Solution OneXperience into Commercial Insurance

    Forty years ago when I first entered the Commercial Property/Casualty business as a young agent, a wise and very professional agent told me that my job as an agent was to sell the policies offered by our carriers and to figure out how best to sell our clients to our underwriters. I learned many years ago that our job was much more than sending out applications and selling the cheapest quote.

    I applaud Verisk in their attempt to bring the price peddling agent back into the world of a valued insurance professional. Over the years, whenever possible, we would bring a sample product from a manufacturer to the underwriter so that they could hold and study the actual product. Certainly photos of products and locations were often part of the submission to an underwriter.

    I hope that Verisk is successful with this offering as it would be great to once again compete with other insurance professionals that bring value to their client well beyond 40 meaningless quotes.
