Here is what we know now: China was aware of human to human transmission in early December at the latest. They hid it from the world. WHO tweeted in mid January that there was no evidence of human to human transmission.
During that time China banned people in Wuhan from travelling domestically. But they allowed thousands to continue to travel from Wuhan internationally! Intentional? Of course.
China refused to allow outsiders to come to Wuhan to help study the outbreak, further keeping the disease secret. By doing all of these things, China had to know that a global pandemic would follow.
The British Medical Society estimates that 95% of the pandemic could have been stopped had China just shared the truth with the world a few weeks earlier. Of course, China knew this before anyone else and STILL lied to the world and allowed international travel from Wuhan.
While the world was in the dark on the ease with which this virus transmitted from human to human, China aggressively bought up personal protective equipment from around the world in quantities never seen before. Only later to sell these supplies back to other countries at outrageous prices.
So, did China INTEND a global pandemic? No doubt. So you tell me why. Many believe it is likely China wanted to avoid a singular economic disaster and was willing to have thousands die around the world to equalize the economic damage.
Would China have also calculated the impact on the Presidential election of their actions? Without a doubt. They are smart people (if not steeped in Western morality.) And if they wanted someone to lose, who would that be, Joe (my kid does business with China) Biden? Or the jerk with all the trade tarriffs and tough talk about China?

There are two things I do know: The first is that at this point, blaming someone doesn’t fix the problem, and 2) good luck collecting a cent from China. I really don’t think it’s going to happen.
Personally, I won’t be voting for either Trump or Biden in November, and there’s not much anyone can say to convince me otherwise. I’m beyond sick of both of them and can’t believe this is the best our country can do. We deserve better.
