The Hartford, AARP Extend Member Insurance Program to 2033

The Hartford has extended its long-standing auto and home insurance program for AARP members until Jan. 1, 2033. The Hartford’s program has been endorsed by the retired persons’ association for 35 years.

Since launching in 1984, it has developed into a leading affinity program.

The AARP Auto & Home Insurance Programs offers auto, homeowners and personal umbrella insurance to AARP members.

According to Doug Elliot, president of The Hartford, the renewal of the program comes with a new initiative to enhance its digital data and advanced technology tools. The Hartford has selected Duck Creek OnDemand, the provider’s SaaS solution, as its new technology platform.

The program is administered through AARP Services, Inc., founded in 1999, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AARP.

The Hartford pays royalty fees to AARP.
