So for decades Monsanto then Bayer said their product def did not cause cancer, whilst thousands of folk dying of cancer – Im sure no one will be held accountable (and big cash payout does not balance their lack of humanity)

Most courts worldwide ruled that the plaintiffs did NOT prove their claim that Bayer products cause cancer.

But class action suit lawyers got their fees.

Californicata courts ruled against Bayer. Go figure.

This multi-billion $ settlement is NOT an admission of guilt or causation. It is a ‘surrender to ride again another day, another place, and to save legal defense costs and time’ to an ongoing shakedown by class action lawyers seeking settlement fees in jurisdiction with biased or ignorant courts or juries. Nothing more.
If you believe otherwise, you are willingly ignorant.

And of course they will continue to pour this chemical that ‘does not cause cancer’ all over our soil and food…..

If they claim it is safe, then drink it, and prove it. If you leave a bowl of non-diluted roundup out long enough in a building, it can kill mice. If it isn’t causing cancer, then what in it is deadly? We know it gets into our water supply. I don’t want deadly chemicals in my drinking water.

Drink it? What do the labels on such products say?

Do you use gasoline in your car? Does it cause cancer? No one made such a claim. But, I may have given Classless Action Lawyers (CALs) an idea to generate income by suing petroleum product makers on behalf of motorists across the globe! So, would anyone volunteer to take your advice; i.e. to drink gasoline to see if it causes cancer? Why not?

You are eating it every day in small quantities, unless you buy strictly organic, grow yourself organically, or buy from a local farmer you are sure does not use this chemical. Which I do myself. All three actually. Bob R’s right. It is getting into our water supply. It’s poison and they need to just take it off the market. There are many other farming methods that do not destroy our environment and poison us.

Who’s “they” in the “they need to take it off the market”?

Consider “small quantities” and “recommended dosage” together.

Why should someone take a product off the market if it does no harm when used as directed?

Is anyone preventing you from buying organic produce and bottled distilled water? Let us know. Better yet, call the c… your private security service.

Bias in the brief report of the pending settlement is used and intended to conceal a legally required provision that Bayer is not admitting guilt. ALL agreements to settle high value claims include such disclaimers to prevent future claimants from using any admission of guilt in their pursuit of their (false) claims. By omitting such a disclaimer, the author of the article leaves the impression with gullible or willingly ignorant readers that Bayer admits guilt (it doesn’t!).

A completely unfounded judgement. Roundup and/or some similar forms of weedkillers have been used for decades by literally tens of millions of people (including me). This is standard trial attorney class action extortion backed up by the liberal leaning judiciary. Now I see talcum powder cancer (about as valid a claim as Roundup) class actions starting up against J & J and others. A shameful racket that costs us all thousands of dollars per year. Disgraceful.

LOL big company that’s been proven previously to not care about human life sells a product that causes cancer and loses money for it and the republican yokels that frequent these boards whine and deny. Wonder why? You clearly don’t care about human life, you just want the bleeding jaws of capitalism to continue chomping. Polar, you’ve been dishonest on these boards frequently, are you pretending no one remembers you lying repeatedly about a YouGov poll from January? Claiming it said 90% of americans were more afraid of terrorism than global warming when it said no such thing? You have zero credibility to be calling anyone else ignorant when you’re a known liar bro.

How can you prove a negative? i.e. “proven previously not to care …”
      You can’t prove a negative.

I can prove you lied on these boards and got caught, then tried to lie again. Is that good enough for you?

LOL oh so are you STILL denying you lied? You posted saying a yougov poll from “January” said 90% of americans were more afraid of terrorism than climate change.

            today.yougov.com/topics/politics/articles-reports/2016/02/01/global-survey-us-among-least-worried-about-climate

Here’s the poll (which you neglected to say was from January 2016, you posted this a few months ago) and it does NOT say 90% of americans are more afraid of terrorism than climate change. It wasn’t even 90% in 2016. You got caught lying, and you’re too much of a coward to admit it. The problem for you is, everything you say is suspect. Because you’re a liar. That clear it up? Seems like I proved it alot more than just in my mind, liar.
