Really, no comments on this? I thought we’d have some opinions offered by agents about this, as Nationwide’s transition has played out to its conclusion.

CarrierGuy: Agreed. I was hoping that some of the captives could comment on this…

That is because everybody is moving on from Nationwide and don’t care. They have not been kind to the Independent Agent recently.

Jo, curious how they have not been kind?

Closing offices that support us. Cut commissions every year for the last 4 years. Cut profit-sharing every year for last 3 years. Won’t write new business or not competitive on business but expect you to grow. Continue to non-renew good business that is on the books. Other companies are begging to write that same business so we are just moving it. Been moving my book for the last 8 months and they don’t even realize it. When you tell this to NW they do not listen. Greed has taken over at the top at NW.

Nationwide (IS NOT ON YOUR SIDE). Try filing an insurance claim. They are horrible. It will be immediately denied.

What’s the deal between nationwide and PFA and WFG, those multi-level marketing companies. Is the product same structure as other independent agencies could offer?

What do they mean by move policies at a “future date”? Did NW force the agents to keep policies with NW for a set period of time? Were agents truly able to go independent and get new carrier appointments? Curious how the transition process worked.
