Wildfires. Global Pandemic. Economic turmoil. Political and civil unrest. Outright nastiness from both sides. Climate issues. you ever think that maybe aliens were about ready to visit us, then saw the huge mess going on here and said, “nah, keep going…there’s no sign of intelligent life down there…”

Seriously man, it’s like no Republican ever paid attention to a science fiction story. Otherwise they’d maybe realize the only outcome of their policies is turning the world into a Dystopia.

Actually, while you were getting high while reading science fiction, we were in an actual science class . . .

LOL maybe a little imagination would have helped you, because you’re too stupid to see what your policies and republican ideals actually lead to. I smoke pot, what’s your excuse for being SO dumb?

Last time I checked, we have had wildfires on the left coast for eons due to their non forest management and poor conservation of water. Protected the Smelt fish instead of channeling water to farmers that needed it to grow crops.

I am not even sure what the plan is anymore.

Now that California is closing down again, are we waiting for a vaccine that might never come?

Are we waiting for herd immunity? Which if we start and stop like this might take years.

The overwhelming scientific opinion is that kids are at very little risk of contracting Covid 19 and the risk of learning almost nothing by “distance learning” is huge. Not to mention the lack of socialization, exposure to undetected child abuse, and inability to engage with friends is a huge offset, along with the fact low income parents have no place for the kids to go in order to go to work.

And so how long with THIS last?

Again, I have no idea what the game plan is anymore. (But I am glad Governor Newsom banned “indoor” protests, because we all know there were lots of those. Wink wink.)

There was JUST a study saying immunity for coronavirus lasts less than 2 months, so keep whining about herd immunity, that’s just another lie you’ve been pushing it turns out.

The real answer is the government paying everyone to stay home until a vaccine is created. We all know it. You know it. But the idea of reducing military spending to pay for americans to stay home just boils the blood of your billionaire pals, which is why they’re pushing for sending school children to work even though some WILL die.

Pro-life and All Lives Matter don’t extend to children once business is at risk, huh? Hypocrites gonna hypocrite.

I think you may be insane. Truly.

You act like the government can print money forever without crashing the economy. And I know you are math and history challenged: China’s military is catching up with ours rapidly and authoritarian dictatorships have been known throughout history FOREVER to try to use force in to get what they want (see South China sea, 2020).

How many billions did the government just give to Trump’s friends that very likely went into offshore bank accounts instead of the actual economy?

That money would have done the job right there, very likely.

What, it’s okay for Trump to give his already rich billionaire friends money but the idea of supporting american citizens with actual needs is insane? Pull your head out of your rear, Craig.

Obviously socialization and detecting the most cases of child abuse as possible is very important, but you’re glossying over something when you say:

“The overwhelming scientific opinion is that kids are at very little risk of contracting Covid 19”

How many children dying from COVID-19 due to rushing back to school with no plan in place is an acceptable loss to you? How many dead kids will it take to offset your concern with detecting child abuse?

If 100 kids die and we catch 50 child abusers, is that worth it? What if 1,000 kids die. Is that loss worth it?

Let’s remember though … THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT KIDS.

How many teachers dying from COVID-19 due to rushing back to school with no plan in place is an acceptable loss to you? We’re already at 2, by the way, and kids aren’t even back at school yet, so don’t tell me it won’t happen.

How many kids die in car crashes every day? And yet I don’t hear you advocating for shutting down the highways. What little compassion you have!

You can NOT link to science that says Covid 19 is a serious danger to kids under the age of 16.
        It does NOT exist.

This is truly the dumbest argument of the Left that constantly wraps itself in a blanket of moral superiority by claiming the Left “believes in science”.

Almost every other country on Earth has re-opened schools. THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT THE KIDS!! (Stop screaming and use your brain.) Teachers at risk can stay home. The others can prepare as if going to the grocery store.

          Goalpost shift.

          Second goalpost shift.

Almost every other country on earth was able to control the virus. New Zealand wiped it out in 4 weeks. We have the largest infection rate and the most deaths in the world, and you keep acting like we should just move on and reopen schools? Just because your child died are you in such a rush to have other people experience your loss?

Craig – CAR ACCIDENTS ARE NOT A VIRUS.

If 1 kid gets hurt/dies in a car accident and 3 others are hurt/die in that crash, what’s the total number of sick/dead people?

          4. You can agree with that, right?

If 1 kid gets sick/dies from COVID and gives it to 1 teacher (already happened) and 2 parents, and they get sick/die, and those 3 people give it to 2 others who get sick, and those 2 give it to 2 others…

What’s the total number of sick/dead people? More than 4, right? And that’s just ONE kid getting sick, let alone an entire classroom.

          What’s worse:

#1) A single unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally and over a short period of time, for which we already have safety measures in place to reduce the severity (car designs, seatbelts, airbags, car seats, etc) or

#2) A contagion spreading through communities injuring an unknown amount of people over a long period of time for which the majority of people won’t even take a simple mitigation technique (facemask) until we have an actual safety measure (vaccine) in place?

“Teachers at risk can stay home. The others can prepare…”

          GREAT IDEA!

What happens if 50% of the teachers are at risk and stay home? Double the number of kids in each class? Doesn’t sound safe for the teachers who aren’t at risk and decide to stay.

And how are the returning teachers preparing? Let’s hear from one:

“It’s pretty atrocious that in preparation for returning to school this fall, teachers are writing wills, getting medical power of attorney established, and taking out extra life insurance,” tweeted teacher Jessica Schwinn on Saturday.
