VP Pence Advisor Troye Joins Insurance Crime Bureau

Olivia Troye, who most recently served as the homeland security and counterterrorism advisor to Vice President Mike Pence, has joined the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) as the association’s vice president of Strategy, Policy and Plans.

Prior to serving the office of the U.S. Vice President, she served in the Office of Intelligence & Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security as chief of Strategy, Policy & Plans.

As a risk management and national security executive and lawyer, Troye has a combined 20 years of government service and private sector experience with the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, the National Counterterrorism Center, the Department of Energy, as well as in the private sector for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and General Dynamics Information Technology.

The appointment continues the re-staffing at NICB by David Glawe, president and CEO, who took over the organization in May. Glawe is a former under secretary and chief intelligence officer at the Department of Homeland Security. He also served as special assistant to the President and senior director for Homeland Security at the White House and as the assistant commissioner and chief intelligence officer at U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

In July, Glawe hired Pat Martin as the new general counsel for NICB. Martin is the former chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. He was an assistant U.S. attorney in that office for the last 15 years.

The non-profit NICB is focused on preventing, detecting and defeating insurance fraud and vehicle theft. It is supported by property/casualty insurance companies and self-insured organizations.
