This and other reports go into detail on the subject of, If an employer requries vacinations.
However I have really not seen anything addressed on if the employer does not require vacinations. What will be the ramifications of that scenerio? You have half the employees freaking out becase they want to be vacinated but the other half will not do it. Now what? Lawsuites? So if you do require vacinations and half the employess have a reason why they will not take a vaccine and you still end up with half the employees running scared. What do you get, Lawsuits? What a mess.

So let’s address an employer who requires the vaccine and the employee who has an adverse effect or similar from taking it….since the drug companies are exempt from liability, where do you think those lawsuits will go?? Are employers even considering these scenario’s? The government won’t certainly give them a bail out on this!

Since a flu shot is not mandatory in the workplace, why would the Covid be? This has gotten way out of hand, everything is thrown back onto businesses. Every lawfirm I know did not shut down for Covid, most if not all their employees went into the office everyday…hmm wonder why they’re not worrying about being sued????

What Law Firm do you know exactly that’s less than a one man operation with a legal aide that’s been going to the office? Every office worth a damn went virtual months ago. Who are you trying to fool here?

All the big firms (15+) I am aware of went remote. A few random partners would show up to empty offices. On the other hand, seems like insurance agents made their people show up. Also, ever hear of workers comp. Employers are covered and shouldn’t sweat it. Just act reasonable and responsible.

I have 6 friends who work at law firms, small (4 people) and large. All have worked the whole pandemic, they never went home not one time. Except the one who was exposed to covid for the 3rd time and worked for a large firm.

sounds like your friends’ companies are lazy and cheap. Every firm I know has been working from home since March. If they’ve had this long to get their act together and they’re still not they deserve to be fined.

Exactly, Jon! Law firms around here went virtual. As far as a flu shot not being mandatory, comparing the flu to this virus is like comparing a cold to an STD. I’ve seen it firsthand in my home and I know of people who passed away from it. I have yet to know anyone who had the flu with symptoms like I saw. And, I don’t know anyone who has died from the flu. We all agree, we do want to get back to normalcy, right? The vaccination sounds like a good place to start since the Covidiots of the world are refusing to mask up and keep their distance. All in the name of ice cream and haircuts, none the less. Now that is what is out of hand.

In our state, law firms, accounting firms and insurance agencies/companies are considered essential and were never required to close.

These potential lawsuits, you’re addressing, are probably the reason some Senators want businesses protected from COVID-19 lawsuits. There are too many scenarios in which businesses can be frivolously sued by employees, customers, etc. Employees, for the most part, are protected by workers’ comp.

If your business is taking bets on how many of your meat packing workers are going to die from C19 while you do nothing to try an protect them as directed by the CDC, why should the business be shielded from those lawsuits?

They shouldn’t be protected from lawsuits. Those SOBs deserve it. Sounds like they put too much faith in it “miraculously disappearing by April” and drowning the virus cells in Clorox.

Are you wearing your mask in the shower? Can’t be too safe.

After all, that is the entirety of the Biden Plan. A Mask Mandate.

Keep in mind that wearing a mask reduces your chances of contracting Covid 19 by about .0091 percent. (Ask Rosenblatt to link to the study.) And your chances of dying from Covid 19 go down by an infinitely smaller number than that if you wear a mask. (Joe is “trusting the science.)

Where did you get your “masks are less than 1% effective” stat from?

Why should businesses who flout safety rules and regulations be protected from knowingly putting their employees at risk (see Tyson Meat Packing Plant)?

If business are forcing sick people to work and lying about their safety protocols, shouldn’t their employees be allowed to sue them for unsafe working conditions?

The EOC does not appear to address the issue of if you have been tested and have negative results> Please address.

It seems to be going unnoticed or ignored that the FDA has not granted approval for any COVID-19 vaccines (neither Moderna or Pfizer). They granted an emergency use authorization (even though the media mistakenly uses the term ‘approval’). Both are considered experimental drugs for EUA use only. Secondly, none of the current COVID-19 vaccine candidates have any evidence that they stop virus transmission – i.e. they do not contribute to herd immunity. They decrease symptoms. These are the facts, and they are quite easy to validate. Given these facts, no employer could reasonably require an experimental drug that has no FDA approval which as no evidence of protecting others (only the recipient).

This right here. I work for an employer that has put out a memo saying we have to get vaccinated or get terminated. How can they do that when the vaccine is not FDA approved. I’m looking at losing my job and can’t find answers.

Can someone have COVID, not know they have COVID, and spread COVID to others?

We all know the science – YES they can and do! So how can employers force unvaccinated to be tested weekly while those vaccinated sit in the office spreading it? Follow stupid rules should provide employers with ZERO legal protection! ECOC provides protection against Improper questions about or disclosure of your genetic information or medical information. Forcing employees to present a vax card should not be legal, forcing those who choose to not provide the card to get tested is 100% discrimination!
