If you love your pets, don’t keep these collars on them for long periods of time. We only use them when we’re headed out for walks, and they immediately come off once we get home.

So if you remove the collar when they get home, how do you know they present a danger to your pet? from social media? from Facebook? We’ve had the opposite experience. Our dogs, my sons dog and my best friends dogs all wear these collars for the last 4 or 5 years and we think they are excellent.

I read about the two active ingredients of the collars, learned how they interact with each other and how they interact with ticks, then made my own decision about it being something I didn’t feel comfortable using.

Don’t get me wrong: the collars ARE excellent at preventing ticks. I agree.

Where they’re not excellent is with the use an insecticide and an ectoparasiticide.

But hey. make your own decisions. Your mileage may vary. But to me … having an insecticide on my pet 24/7 and letting them sleep in my bed with the collar on them just doesn’t feel safe to me, ESPECIALLY when the instructions say to wash your hands after handling the collar….
