CoreLogic Names Dodd CEO

Patrick Dodd has been appointed president and chief executive officer of CoreLogic, the global property information, analytics and data company. Dodd was named interim chief executive officer in January 2022.

Prior to assuming the top job in January, Dodd served as the company’s chief operating and growth officer. Dodd will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

Dodd replaces Frank Martell, who has assumed the position of non-executive chairman of the CoreLogic board.

Prior to joining CoreLogic in September 2020, Dodd was with NielsenIQ and, before that, Nielsen, where during his 27 years he served as president of international markets and president of growth markets among other positions.

Headquartered in Irvine, California, CoreLogic operates in North America, Western Europe, and Asia Pacific.

CAC Specialty Adds 4 to Senior Living Practice

Specialty insurance broker CAC Specialty has added four professionals to its senior living practice including David Thurber as senior vice president, Shannon Holt as senior vice president of workers’ compensation, Mark Holt as senior vice president of risk management ,and Yvonne Wiltse as senior account executive.

Thurber joins CAC with a background in senior living professional liability and employment liability claims.

Shannon Holt brings decades of experience in workers’ compensation program design, pricing structure, and claims oversight management.

Mark Holt will serve as senior vice president of risk management. In addition to risk management, he will be assisting with large property losses and coverage advocacy.

Wiltse will add expertise in the complex day-to-day service needs of senior living clients.

McCann Joins Lockton Re

Reinsurance broker Lockton Re reported that Kathy McCann has joined as senior broker with a focus on property business across various segments including retrocession.

Most recently, McCann was a managing director at Guy Carpenter, having been a branch manager for its Boston office and an account executive for regional and national property/casualty companies. She was also a senior leader working with the global retrocessional business. She focused predominately on pro rata placements.

Previous to that, McCan was a senior vice president at Benfield. In addition to working in Boston, she has worked in New York, London, and San Francisco.

Canopius Hires Lee as General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer

Specialty insurer Canopius Group has hired Serena Lee as its general counsel and chief risk officer for Canopius USA. This is a new position reflecting the company’s U.S. expansion.

Lee brings 15 years of corporate governance, transactional, compliance and litigation experience in the insurance industry. Prior to assuming her role at Canopius, she held various senior legal positions, most recently as vice president, senior counsel for corporate and litigation with Ambridge Partners (formerly Brit Global Specialty USA) and senior counsel for Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
