Smart judges would agree nuke power is the long-term solution. Unfortunately, liberals shut down all US nuke plants in the late 70s / early 80s, and construction of new plants were mothballed. All of it was based on a knee-jerk reaction to nuke accidents that are preventable. As a result, the US fell far behind other nations in regard to nuke power, and the consequences will endure for a decade or more.

Government subsidies have been nearly universally criticized as pointless in moving us away from carbon-based fuels. Honest people would tell you that. Green graft is all they are, favors to political friends.
