    GEICO & PGR Direct intimate by going direct you save money. I cannot understand why more agents do not advertise and expose this fallacy. Agents just seem content letting the GEICO\’s of the world mislead the public and steal the business.

    You have a point, Ron. Some in the industry are promoting the indies… Trusted Choice, PIA / Big I. NAIFA, etc…

    We can do more locally, though.

    Our agency has experienced many clients switching to the AARP (Hartford) personal lines, only to be disappointed with the lack of service. They come back after only one year. They like the middle man!

    Ron,
    Thanks for your ads. We are a small agency and have had our contract threatened for defending our insured. It hurt our commissions at the moment but I think it made a believer out of our insured and our contract wasn\’t cancelled. If it hadn\’t been for our agency our insured would not even have known how to contest their settlement.
