This case is almost 9 years old and State Farm has been fighting it tooth and nail. I bet the billable hours of their law firm have been adding up. By the way, if the recent increases granted only add up to a net increase of 1.4%, it is probably due to them increasing the deductible on the policies. The net result is that the customers will have less coverage on a claim. We find that most of our companies compete very favorably with State Farm in every area.

Amazed obviously does not know much about the insurance industry. Your companies cannot compete with State Farm in coverage aspects because they have an HO-3 with seepage. What company do you have that competes favorably with them that has seepage?

What does Amazed’s company have that competes favorably with seepage? How about a favorable public image, which State Farm is rapidly losing (says the soon to be former State Farm client).

State Farm increased my homeowner’s insurance 26% in 2009, and I was not aware of the increase until April, 2011 when my mortgage payment increased $150.00 per month. My agent had been ill for approximately 3 years and was never available. I never received an updated declaration or a policy for 2010. I was blindsided when I spoke to my mortgage company in April, 2011, and they told me I needed to call my insurance company because they increased my homeowner’s 26% in 2009. I was lied to by a Regional Manager in Houston and also the Fire Underwriter in Austin. He told me that there was a 171/2% increase across the board to my homeowner’s insurance for the people in my zip code in 2009. Well, when I spoke to individuals in my zip code that was not the truth. How far are we going to let State Farm go without people seeking coverage with other Insurance Companies? Also, they did not want to speak to me at the corporate office in Bloomington, IL and kept transferring to the Fire Underwriter in Austin, TX who basically told me to find insurance elsewhere. Way to go State Farm! I’ve only been a loyal customer with my homeowner’s for 23 years and my automobile insurance for 31 years. How Sad, another corporate company effecting the middle class. I paid you for many years and this is how you treat a loyal customer?
