This is a fine example of why the farm bill is so important to this country. Farmers must be able to produce a safe food supply in this country and since the weather is out of anyone’s control, a safety net that crop insurance provides is a vital necessity. I do not want to eat imported food products from countries that do not have the same standards. Plus it is vital to national security that we support the farmers so we can feed our own. Think what other countries could do to us if we could not produce enough food for our population-scary thought!
