Texas Teen’s Death Linked to Faulty Takata Air Bag, 10th in U.S.

    And as I understand the news stories on this accident, notices have been sent to have the airbag problem corrected. So as the owner of the auto risked a life by not taking seriously a recall notice on this auto, a young lady has died. I hate to ask for more government but I am beginning to believe recalls should be tied back to the vin and when license renewal comes up, ask for proof that the recall has been cleared or no renewal. This would have prevented this tragedy.

    I received a recall on my Honda CRV. Have been told the part won’t even be available until sometime in June. In the meantime I guess you hope that nothing happens.
