    I hope they catch all the others and the fines should be very steep. If I knew which ones are in Dallas, I wouldn’t buy gas from them ever again.

    It should be a fine PLUS all the added revenue they collected during the period to be given back to their victims. And jail time.
    A slap on the wrist doesn’t deter them or anyone from doing it in the future.

    Price gouging is literally the free market in action. Every time someone argues to eliminate regulations and for free market principles, I have to wonder how far they are willing to defend it.

      Being the libertarian that I am, it is government overreach to fine or bring charges against an organization for charging as they see fit for a good or service. That said I can see nothing wrong with publishing for all to see a list of those entities who chose to gouge their neighbor in time of need, thereby allowing the market forces to negatively impact the business for it’s choice. Just my 2 cents.
