I for one am insulted by the term man caused global warming. I propose that it be immediately amended to human caused global warming or just maybe third world human caused global warming. It only stands to reason that if the theory of global warming is correct that the largest polluters are far more to blame than countries who have invested in steps to slow pollution. Last I heard the pollution in China is far greater than impact from the US.

A)China isn’t a third world country.
B)China produces more renewable energy in the world by far. It isn’t even close
C)China has over 4 times as many people as USA, and pollutes twice as much.
D)China pollutes way worse than the US, which is why they have dedicated themselves so fervently to switching and investing in their electrical grid and consumer heating sources to reduce their CO2 emissions. Contrast that with USA’s leadership believing we just need to scrub coal to clean it, which may be the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
E)Even in the extreme unlikelihood that global warming isn’t real, and nearly all scientists say it is, (and a few of those are even smarter than IJ’s own genius bob) but why wouldn’t we want to switch over to renewable energy instead of continuing to destroy the lands we live on?
Why not switch to solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal whenever possible instead of leaving giant filthy scars on our beloved land? Why continue to reduce the size of national parks and sell the land to oil prospectors and others who will not treat the land with the same respect as those who came before them.
For a real eye-opener, google Alberta Oil Sands Before and After photos. Do you want our precious ANWR reduced to that? To industrialization? When renewable sources have proven to be more cost efficient and profitable?
Screw that. Any economic conservative should be up in arms about the government wasting any more resources trying to prop up coal mines and other products of bygone eras.
