    And this, boys and girls, is why I’m glad I dropped Aetna thirty years ago. Lousy customer service is one thing, being incompetent with a laser focus on cruelty is another matter.

    This is a very abbreviated article from the one I originally read. Aetna should have probably paid for the treatment based on past successful results. On the other hand, it’s too bad the doctors & hospital could not have provided the treatment, without the guarantee of Aetna’s insurance coverage, if they were so convinced the treatment would work for the patient. But they’re in business to make money so that wasn’t going to happen.
