Read this entire 48 page filing in Texas to get a full understanding of just how corrupt this company is. Page 5 explains Tim Moses background. https://www.tdi.texas.gov/news/2019/documents/Aliera-First-Amd-Petition-July-2019.pdf
Open the pdf and search on “Moses” and read all the paragraphs where his name appears. So, he is now onto his next scam and a whole bunch of employees are going along thinking they are not culpable.
Notice that many of these denied claims are “typical ” claims that a person might sit on and wait to get some kind of insurance. Wellness exam- hernia , etc It clearly says on brochure that this does NOT cover pre-existing. It was’nt that long ago when ALL individual plans did NOT cover pre-existing conditions. This pre X situation is not something that any of the Christian sharing plans designed or invented. Seems the author leans in that direction-many people have never paid for their own medical insurance thus this pre-existing condition situation seems unfair or illegal. It is not IMO. It is the only way any of these companies will stay in business. People would simply sign up-get that heart transplant -then drop the plan after the surgery. That would be rampant if allowed. Only since ACA have insurance companies been forced to pay all pre-existing situations. Remember back folks..it was not that long ago Bcbs, Aetna , Cigna -all of them had pre-X limitations.
One i read said it did not cover his Wellness -that is right there in brochure. It clearly says it is limited in coverage and it clearly says you must wait a few months.
I have Aliera and just got a complete wellness -most of it was covered. In addn, i had 3 pre–cancer spots cut off my back and it was covered exactly as i expected. I studied the coverage, i called Aliera , i called Dr and got price –i did my homework. There were no surprises except it appears as if i have caught the Dr’s office 2 times tying to get me to pay the cash price prior to them even filing the claim.
Not Good for Aliera, Now all the states will be looking at them and shutting them down.
Aliera was bad a claims anyway.
