State Farm had an equally un-neighborly response to Katrina with all those shredded engineering reports in Mississippi. Sometimes you end up with a neighbor you wish you didn’t have.

The fault lies not with State Farm, but with the officials that failed to order an evacuation. State Farm is following the terms / conditions of the contract / policy.

LA did not issue a mandatory evacuation because of what happened in 2004. Additionally for 17 years LA has not asked for or mandated insurance policy form changes. Just trying to push insurance companies to pay for the state’s failure. Assume Donelon is an elected official. Not accusing of trying to buy votes. Just question if doing what is best for the citizens by NOT fixing the program (earlier mandatory evacuations or changing of the insurance language). If we don’t follow the insurance policy contract, what is the use of having the contract? I get it…big bad insurance company. State Farm has a fiduciary responsibility to ALL their policy holders.
