    Wow, OSHA must be lenient in Mississippi.

    One of my CA clients was fined over $26,000 for neglecting to report to OSHA an injury that resulted in an overnight stay at the hospital!

    When OSHA levies a fine, do the deceased relatives, in this case, see any of that money?

    …odd, OSHA DOES NOT have jurisdiction over marine accidents. Are the barges full of water AND washed up on shore? Looks like a good one to appeal.

    And further to the other question, no the survivors do not see a penny of the fines. That will be a death benefit pursuant to the WC policy and other criteria.
