State Farm Says No New Policies Within 2,500 Feet of Miss. Coastline

    Please get the facts straight. State Farm is not writing any new policies with wind coverage in several coastal counties regardless of the distance from the coastline. If you qualify for St. Farm HO policy – it will most likely be excluding wind. This article makes things sound better than they are. No wonder the nation does not understand what Mississippi coast residents are going through. This is not for those with Beach Views – this is on low, middle as well as upper income households with normal yards and views.

    I have no problem with you not being able to get coverage for a probable loss. Insurance is about possible losses, not probable losses. Selling insurance for probable losses is more like gambling…hoping the house doesn\’t take your money.
