um..um… if the officer considers it unsafe to operate a vehicle? well, how many times do you see folks operate vehicles unsafe w/o the distraction devices? how many folks speed or cut into a line w/only inches to spare? or all of a sudden decide to put the brakes? how many of us leave a safe distance only to see it disappear because someone decided i can fit my car in there? um…um.. how many of us have seen cop cars drive illegally w/o lights? who’s word do you take about texting? how is that officer going to look at you to find you texting? what if you said that it was my friend next to me text (of course, you’d have to one sitting next to you). how many folks change a channel on the radio? how about the distractions of kids in the back seat? (of course, i’d have my belt on standby or my hand). is the officer going to have a video recorder on to see that we see the infraction? problem is accountability of our officers to manage the law accordingly and they don’t. i have seen many cops sitting at a light, but because they were impatient, they turned their lights on to get through. then turn them off after they finished the intersection. i have seen many go faster than 70 on the highway when the speed limit is 50 and they don’t have lights going. how can we have them patrol or give tickets if they can’t abide by the same law? how many of them have a computer in their vehicle and process or handle it while driving? um…um…

    major problem? in many ways!
