Allstate Drops Mobile-Home Coverage along South Carolina Coast

    They allow mobilehomes in an area prone to high winds & hurricanes?

    And, people are stupid enough to want to live in them?

    Insurance should not be available, period.

    You should check out Florida. Mobile home parks are very common on the coast. They are designated as Zone 3 and above in structural integrity. They have to meet these certain guidelines, but they are still mobile homes. And I have market for “any mobile home in any county in Florida”. However, the same company will only write site built homes in Florida if they are located in non-coastal counties. Go figure.
