The last line of this article sums up what’s wrong with the USA Government. Screw what is good for the state or its residents. We have to choose what legislation to present that won’t give the current governor any political advantages when he tries to win a senate seat. Amazing!
Charlie is dead politically anyway. He can’t win as a Republican or an Independent. I just hope the result of his years as Governor is not a bankrupt state with thousands of people homeless.
Gov Charlie has done more damage to the State than Hurricance Charlie did a few years back. Punta Gorda was ground zero back then…now it is at the State Capitol, or whichever way the wind may blow Charlie.
Good luck to him on NOT getting elected to anything else for a long time.
If Florida actually reforms ANY insurance program in a positive way, I’ll be standing right in the middle of Tallahassee with my hat and a shaker of salt.
The governor did a major injustice to the insurance industry when he and other politicians decided to play rate makers, but for the non-insurance people of the state he looks like a hero because he can boast that he lowered their insurance costs. Do they really care about the financial jeopardy of the state too? I don’t think so. He got lucky there were no real hurricanes hitting Florida the past 3 years.
