“but many claim to be losing money even while collecting hefty premiums”
Property premiums are lower now than they were in 2004! Hefty? The reality is that they are not hefty enough.

It is just matter of Time. If we get a storm this year before November. Charlie Crist will not be able to be elected Dog Catcher in Florida. Republican, Democrat or Independent, He is done!

The man plays politics with everything.
He is for Dogs, Old People and Children, Against Crime, War and Poverty. So where do you think he stands on those big bad greedy Insurance Companies?

    Pathetic Politician!

Hate to say this but The Southern part of the state may benefit from a good old fashioned cleansing.

Me and my snowstorms here in Western New York, but I would take five feet of snow and single digit temperatures any day over a hurricane!

The problem in Florida is the OIR, plain and simple. They have abandoned their responsibility to ensure the solvency of insurance companies operating in the state and instead become an arm of the Crist political machine. By their flawed implementation of mitigation credits they knowingly deliberately forced companies to charge inadequate rates, calling the rate inadequacy simply “a timing issue.”

Actually the problem is to be a politician in the state of florida, you must remain outside in the summer sun long enough for your brains to be nice and crispy prior to running for office.

Its time to vote all the politicians out of FLORIDA once and for all. The crooked adjusters are just ripping the profitability out of the companies.

They should really cross their fingers and toes and whatever else that there are no hurricanes that form in the Gulf and hit land. Cannot imagine the oily mess that would leave.
