Tennessee Approves Caps on Lawsuit Damages

    OK; they capped one side of the equation. But is there any obligation that these companies/persons be financially responsible or accountable? Shoddy operators can still put up a slick facade onto empty shell, operating corporations and leave desirving claimants empty handed.
    If you are going to be protected by the caps, you should be required to honor (insure for) the caps!

    I think it’s a travesty that it comes down to big business being more important than the rights and lives of individuals. Bringing business to TN is given more weight than a worker who falls from a building being build and dies, or is paralyzed or dies? This new governor should be ashamed of himself. Find another incentive instead of taking away from the very individuals who put him into office. Those businesses aren’t even here yet to be voting, but those people are!
