“The law has exemptions, such as for reporting illegal activity and to request emergency help”

Isn’t texting while driving an illegal activity? So you’re doing an illegal activity to report another illegal activity… hmm… the irony is not lost on me

Of course there are those of us that shout this very thing from the rooftops whenever a new “anti texting” law is considered– a “no texting” law sounds great but is impossible to effectively enforce.

Are you texting, looking at the time on the phone or hitting “reject” on an incoming call to avoid using the phone while driving? Are you texting or referencing a GPS map? Are you texting or hitting “next song” on your music player? Are you texting or dialing “911” to report a dangerous driver?
