    ” insurer can ask for reimbursements from the fund” but why? that insurere should always have enough money in their own catastrophe fund to handle that loss, if not, then they are not funded themselves properly. if this is the case, is this why fund is going bankrupt? if so, then they truly are mishandling this fund!

    As long as Democrats are alive there will always be borrow now pay later programs that look good to voters until the bill comes. The politicians are long gone when the bill comes due and you and I pay for it. The bill usually gorws into a hughe amount that must be borrowed from someplace.
