“TVA spokeswoman Barbara Martocci said no one was hurt and at no time was there a risk to public safety.”

I would submit that at ALL TIMES there is risk to public safety when we’re talking about nuclear power. Humans make errors. And with nuclear energy, those errors easily can be very harmful/fatal and very wide reaching.

The workers get a ‘time out’. Wow. That’s so harsh…
The workers get a chat with a safety person. ooow. How mean!
How about replacing the workers if they can’t pay attention? Start with the supervisors and managers. We’re talking serious stuff here.

Well said Dee. It’s only a matter of time before we have a Chernobyl, Fukushima or another but more deadly Three Mile Island.

I’m concerned about Indian Point nuclear reactor,25 miles from Manhattan. Imagine if we had a meltdown there? The exclusion area would mean that New York City would have to be evacuated…forever.
