State Farm Seeks 14.9% Jump in Florida Property Insurance Rates

    Citizen’s rates are capped at 10% while most other companies are asking for more. That’s good evidence that Citizens is not priced properly. I know I’m stating the obvious but the Citizens “glide path” that regulators and politicians talk about needs to be tipped up a little steeper ot they’ll never catch-up.

      I agree, but anything that makes State Farm customers shop makes me a very happy agency owner.

    In Miami Dade they are really pricey if you don’t get all the credits. Saw one after the last increse that was $17,000 for a $550K home and not in the wind pool area. $15K for $360K up in western Broward county. Not sure how they justify that. But it helps us that is for sure.
