Will this “Medi-Share” thing qualify as insurance under Obamacare? For some reason, I think people using this program will be subject to the fines and additional taxes next year.
A couple of random comments: Is constitutional to restrict insurance (essentially this is a reciprocal or group self insurance mechanism) based on religion? So, when this falls apart, like some other group self insurance programs, who picks up the pieces. Certainly not a g fund. There should be a requirement that they have disclaimers that say if they go belly up that the “insured” is unprotected and will have to pay not only their own claims but perhaps everyone else’s.
