So we have thieves out there with Socials and all kinds of information to cause mischief. What is a patient treated in any of these hospitals supposed to do? This is a joke. Be vigilant and hope for the best.

We are all required to sign agreements for hospitalization & doctors visits that oulines our responsibilities for payment etc.

When will the doctors, dentists, and hostiptals be held responsible for protecting the information we’re required to give them?

Good question Elizabeth. Of course, they thought their systems were secure on the information. Chinese hackers are very good at hacking into sophisticated computer systems. Our geeks are apparently not as good as their geeks and firewalls were breached. My wife was treated several times with one of the hospitals so all that information is at risk. We have to sign an unending amount of paperwork to even get admitted. Perhaps doctors and hospitals should have to sign some forms for us that if there is a breach, they are liable for a loss. I think it would be hard to get them to do it.
