Nashville to Put $100M Flood Protection Plan in Place

    Well not so fast. Turns out the council approved the project to be paid with general obligation bonds, but the intent is to be paid by revenue bonds from the water dept. Now it will require council approval again. The problem is that the project was just made public. Now that it has seen the light of day, there will be folks bring up many other uses in Nashville for $100 million. And with funding from the water dept bonds, that $100 million would go along way to replacing old water mains and sewers, of which several major water main leaks have occurred in the past few months, with two in the past week.
