Florida Insurance Rates Still High Despite Several Storm-Free Seasons

    It is amazing to portray that only hurricane losses affect the price of insurance in Florida. While the state was virtually hurricane free for the past 8 years, give a little consideration to the fires, water losses, sinkholes, sinkhole scams, liability losses,…. And rates are coming down this year too. The state mandates ratios for insurance companies that limits the amount of property value they can write, so they need to build reserves to grow too. There are more factors than just hurricane losses.
    Palm Beach is a costly place to live. If you can’t afford it, move to where you can afford to live.
