The lady was stupid not to buy the insurance for the valuable paintings.

UPS has been involved in a recent and similar situation. Five movie costumes worn by Shirley Temple were shipped late August from Florida to Vermont. They were insured, but never made it out of Florida. Less than two weeks later, they were auctioned off by Cargo Largo in KC, MO and purchase -all in seventeen days. Through diligent footwork by a number of people, four of the five have been located and returned to the owner. The fifth and most valuable is still unaccounted for. UPS is doing very, very little to rectify this situation. Awful.
