July 20, 2016

American Integrity Insurance has hired Gloria Hendrickson as senior vice president of Risk Management.

In her role as senior vice president of Risk Management, Hendrickson will assume responsibility for risk management issues that directly impact the direction of the company.

Working with all facets of the organization, including pricing and underwriting, she will lead catastrophe modeling capabilities, ensuring American Integrity has an immediate response in the wake of a major event, such as a hurricane. She will also provide actuarial direction in the development of products.

Hendrickson has over two decades of insurance experience, including leading both insurance and reinsurance pricing and accumulation as assistant director of Catastrophe Risk & Accumulation at XL Catlin Insurance Company in Atlanta. She began her career as a catastrophe modeler at Munich Re, where she remained at the forefront of their catastrophe risk management department for ten years.

Her role included capital modeling and price monitoring, development of long-term business plans, and was the key reinsurance intermediary contact regarding catastrophe modeling and reinsurance needs.

“As we continue to grow as an organization, risk management and technology are areas we are focused on, in order to keep rates low, exemplify our financial stability and provide the best service for our customers, especially in the aftermath of a catastrophic event, such as a hurricane,” said Jon Ritchie, senior vice president of American Integrity Insurance. “We are thrilled to have Gloria, an industry veteran with a strong background in catastrophe modeling, on board with us through this great time of customer-focus and growth.”

Hendrickson’s hiring comes in tandem with many growth changes at American Integrity, including new deductible choices for Florida policyholders. In addition, American Integrity recently announced a new quoting tool for customers shopping online.

American Integrity Insurance, one of the largest writers of Florida homeowners insurance, has in excess of 225,000 customers and is represented by more than 800 independent agents. The Tampa-based company offers property insurance, including traditional home insurance and coverage for vacant homes, condominiums, manufactured homes and dwelling fire policies.
